Ed Brune Charter School, located 8 miles North of Leakey on the Big Springs Ranch for Children, has been in operation since 2001.

Ed Brune Charter School, part of Big Springs Charter Schools, is a public charter school that serves grades K-12 and is accredited through the Texas Education Agency. All teachers are fully certified by the state of Texas in various core content areas, including special education. Big Springs Charter Schools offer various programs to educate and prepare all students for success in family, employment and community.

Small classroom sizes, and teacher focused individualized instruction through state-adopted materials, enables students to develop much-needed skills in your student’s education.

Varsity athletic programs include: football, volleyball, basketball, track and cheerleading.
